Pakistanis still stranded overseas Over 90000
Pakistanis are still stranded outside the country amid the coronavirus pandemic. Most of them are stuck in the Middle East, where a vast number of the stranded Pakistanis are in the United Arab Emirates, while few are stuck in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Iraq, Bahrain, Kuwait, and Malaysia. Most of these people were visiting these regions for various reasons, however, a large portion of them are workers who have lost their jobs due to companies shutting down because of COVID19.

Members of National Assembly renounce virtual parliamentary sessions
The parliamentary leaders in the National Assembly renounce the option of conducting virtual parliamentary sessions amid the coronavirus outbreak. The party members jointly agreed to have a physical session of the assembly routinely. The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leaders indicate that the virtual sessions will erode the dignity and sanctity of the parliament and the essence of participatory democracy. The members of all the opposition parties supported the physical session with strict observance of health SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures). (Dawn)
